Game Changing Haircuts in One Step

Healthier haircuts are rapidly changing the game, and a single active ingredient is making it all happen. The Olaplex Haircut takes cutting services to the next level, giving stylists the power to rebuild broken bonds during the service. Salon guests around the globe can’t get enough of their strong hair, and stylists love the quick easy step to get them there.

The Olaplex Haircut is a Mini Treatment within a service– using the No.2 as a cutting lotion. The treatment is on for the duration of the haircut, giving the hair a lengthy treatment. Simple process, major results!

Stylist Brian Borg, is just one of the stylists who uses this tool for healthier, more precise cuts. His work epitomizes that sought after, effortless LA look. Wearable haircuts with invisible layers have his clients coming back for more, and his beachy, lived-in styling is nothing short of hair goals. We visited him at Ramirez Tran Salon to see how he uses Olaplex as a cutting lotion for stronger, more resilient cut services.

Brian starts the service with a brief consultation to assess the hair’s integrity and current state. This allows for a better game plan depending on the shape, weight, and damage of the hair.

Step 1: Start at the bowl. If the hair is clean, dampen, towel dry, and apply Olaplex No. 2. Comb through to evenly distribute the product. If the hair has buildup from product, oils, or minerals– give it a light shampoo, rinse, and towel dry. Lastly, apply Olaplex No. 2 and comb through thoroughly to ensure even distribution.

Step 2: Section the hair as you normally would to prepare for a cut, then proceed with the service as usual! Brian likes the consistency and accuracy he gets from the No. 2 cutting lotion, particularly when getting the cleanest cut around the perimeter.

Step 3: Once the cut is complete, rinse and shampoo out the No. 2. It’s important to remember Olaplex is by no means a conditioning treatment or leave in– so remember to condition after shampooing based on the hair’s needs (dryness, frizz, volume).

Step 4: Style!
